Healthcare Facilities

The Nazareth Sisters are engaged in healthcare ministry to show the compassion and healing ministry of Jesus Christ.  We currently operate five health care facilities.  This includes two hospitals: Consolata Hospital Gitoro and St. Luke’s Kiamuri Cottage Hospital. We also operate three dispensaries (clinics): Nkabune Dispensary, Mujwa Dispensary, and St. Anthony Tunyai Dispensary.

Although we need support for the other four facilities, the Tunyai Dispensary is an immediate priority since our Sisters are operating under a temporary shelter which is not approved by the Ministry of Health in Kenya. The people served by the Tunyai Dispensary are very needy as this is a semi-arid area in Tharak Nithi County, Kenya. We have enough land to construct a good health center but currently lack any funds to build a dispensary.
